S.M.A.S.H. is the latest game from the creative minds that brought you ENnie-nominated Etherscope. Bringing the concept of asymmetrical games design to the superhero genre, S.M.A.S.H. is a game where each character has its own unique rules and systems, and every hero is genuinely super.

S.M.A.S.H. is built for fast and simple play that captures the essence of the superhero genre. Character creation is quick and simple, yet allows for practically every superhero concept you can think of. Combat systems are fast and frantic, allowing the PCs to take on multiple NPC supervillains and hordes of minions without losing pace. Each character can utilise a full suite of superpowers to master the battlefield and defeat their enemies. Between fight scenes, there is a simple and elegant system for discovering clues and uncovering the villainous schemes that are being enacted. The system is largely diceless, with no need for luck to get in the way of your heroes blasting through the villains unless it's important to the character's style. In a genre dominated by games that require a spreadsheet to create your character, S.M.A.S.H. stands out for it's simplicity and flexibility.

At it's core, though, is the concept of asymmetry, meaning that each character is genuinely unique and special, which is the essence of what a good superhero game should be! By combining one of eleven alter-egos, one of eight power sources, and one of eight hero archetypes, you can build any superhero you can imagine. From powerful Blasters who can burn through the enemies with high-power attacks, to the Bricks who can soak up the damage. From lightning-fast speedsters who get to activate multiple times in a turn, to the Controllers who can command a horde of thralls. With power sources to choose from like gadgets, power suits, absorption or innate abilities, you can style your character in many different ways, and each one of them will play in a very different manner.
